    This message is written on a paper-thin sheet of some metallic substance in scrolling black letters.

    Greetings and greetings! We had/have/will have need of your pilgrims' aid and assistance in the near past/now/near future -- if you could be so kind as to instantiate their essences in/at our current spatial-temporal locus, we would be pleased and grateful. The problem and trouble has been/is/will be thusly: misunderstanding and confusion, leading to fear and panic, has/is/will arise between us and the inhabitants of this world. They have/do/will see and spy our saucer ships, and finding them strange and unfamiliar to them, they have/do/will respond negatively and unhappily, as if we were sky pirates and/or dragons. Additionally, our forms and visages are strange and unfamiliar to them, resulting then/now/soon in fright and panic. Mild violence and fighting has/is/will already resulted and occurred. The local world president/omnisbundman/head cheerleader theatens further action and damage. Intervention and help is urgently and violently requested and needed!

    Going into more specifics, I'm glad to see that you're bending the letter format to suit different tones of voice and culture. Just the play with multiple conjugations here shows, but doesn't tell, that these people are from a wildly alien culture. Very nice.
